“American Gigolo ss 2”: release date, announcement

The continuation of the TV drama “American Gigolo” has not been officially announced and it is not worth waiting for the release of the season 2 for 2 reasons. Firstly, the TV show is based on the 1980 film of the same name, and secondly, the ratings of the season 1 of the remake leave much to be desired. Unfortunately, the excellent performance of the actor Jon Bernthal was not enough for the audience and film critics to give the film a high rating. Therefore, the producers are unlikely to want to take on the season 2 of a failed project.

Plot

Johnny’s mother simply sold her son’s appearance for a small fee. The guy was taken to Los Angeles, where the woman who bought him introduced herself as the Queen. She showed Johnny to women, and they spent time with him for a fee. The Queen showed him and explained how to please a woman in bed, what he needed to know and what to say. Under her leadership, Johnny became Julian.

Years passed, Julian grew up, got stronger, became even more courageous, smarter and more beautiful. He did not seek to start a relationship, because he was satisfied with those meetings for which he was paid. He lived well, did not need anything and had regular clients who were ready to pay for his every whim. Yes, they were all older, but Julian was fine with that.

Once he met an ordinary woman who conquered him with her simplicity. He soon learned that her name was Michelle and that she was married to a wealthy, powerful man. An undesirable relationship arose between them, but love moves mountains. They decided to be together and not depend on circumstances. But they didn’t manage to carry out their plans…

Julian was found next to his next client, who was covered in blood, with her throat slit. The police who arrived at the scene did not begin to understand the motives: the guy was imprisoned for a long time. But 15 years later, a miracle happened — a criminal dying of cancer confessed to the murder of this woman. He even said the name of the one who asked him to frame Julian.

Johnny was released, he decided to start life anew, but the news about who became the customer shocked him. On his deathbed, the killer uttered a female name, which could mean only one thing — the Queen had a relative who, from childhood, dreamed of following in her footsteps. Growing up, she became a real tyrant and skillfully manipulated people for her own purposes.

Johnny decides to look into it. But he also passionately desired a meeting with Michelle. Appearing at her house, he did not know that Michelle had given birth to a son. Now she is not having the best of times — the guy ran away with an adult woman whom he has loved for a long time. How soon will Julian stop hiding behind a false name, find the one who set him up and understand that the runaway guy is his son?..
