The continuation of the fantastic saga “Andor” has already been announced. According to official data, the season 2 was filmed starting in the fall of 2022. It took a lot of time to prepare and at the moment the producers are planning to make the season 2 the last one. In the chronology of events, the next picture should be the film “Rogue One”, released in 2016.

So far, we can only speculate about the release of the new season in September 2023, and closer to this time, reliable sources will provide more accurate information.

Plot

Cassian has been a warrior since childhood. As a boy, he performed rituals that helped him fill with confidence and go into battle. All that kept little Cassian on this earth was the sister he sought to protect. Time passed, their paths diverged, but one day Cassian decides to find his only relative. This search leads him to a bar on a distant planet.

Having received no good information, Andor goes about his business. At the exit from the bar, he is attacked by two guards who decided to profit from an unknown man. While trying to defend themselves, Cassian accidentally kills one of them. And to avoid further problems with the Imperial stormtroopers, he kills the second guard as well. Realizing that he made a serious mistake, he immediately disappears from the scene.

The next day Cassian comes to visit a friend. He asks to cover himself in case anyone finds out that he had to kill two people. A friend agrees, but warns that this is the last time he does this, because he does not want problems. Inviting Andor to take on the job, the friend goes home. Deciding that the trouble is over, Cassian hurries to get back to business.

But the lack of funds and opportunities pushes Andor into the abyss of new problems. The only thing left to hope for is Bix, who does Cassian’s errands. And even if she does not like it, she is able to get what she needs. Her lover is not happy that Bix communicates with Andor, but he cannot change anything — he releases his anger not on her, but on the enemy.

Now the brave fighter faces several tasks at once: to find his sister, collect the necessary things and help the world live in peace. But how to do this if former acquaintances begin to lose patience, fulfilling his requests? Sometimes these requests border on insanity and people have to refuse Andor so as not to incur the wrath of the stormtroopers.

But it seems like he’s just waiting to be hunted down. Cassian is ready for anything, because he knew for a long time what he was going for. A questionable lifestyle and a craving for adventure will make him one of the most eminent people. But will it help him reach his goals?

1. Since the work on the season 1 painstakingly continued for 9 months (from December 2020 to September 2021), it will depend on the time of filming of the season 2 whether the showrunners meet the specified deadline.
