“Black Bird ss 2”: release date, announcement
It makes no sense to talk about the continuation of the “Black Bird” TV show, since the project is closed, and the ending turned out to be logical and corresponds to its book version. Recall that the script for the TV series was created based on the novel “In with the Devil: a Fallen Hero, a Serial Killer, and a Dangerous Bargain for Redemption” by James Keene.
Plot
Charming James ‘Jimmy’ Keene earns a living in a completely illegal way. Many years ago, he stepped on a slippery slope for the sake of his father, who needed money. Understanding how easy it is to live when there is a hefty wad of dollars in his pocket, Jimmy decides not to stop and finds new comrades who are ready to help him in business.
By this time, the father is already urging his son to quit dangerous business. Even if something goes wrong, Big Jim will know that his grown-up son will find a more legal occupation. But Jimmy has his own plans for the future, and he was not going to give up his earnings. This also included plans to kill the girl with whom he slept the day before.
Having realized the idea, he decides to get rid of the corpse, but does not have time — the FBI intercepts him in his own house and the guy has to confess his sins. The murdered woman was a Muslim woman who planned to commit a terrorist attack in the United States. In addition to the murder, Jimmy is found to have a large consignment of drugs, which causes him to go to jail.

The father is crushed and hardly finds the strength to come to his son. After another prison date, he becomes ill — he is partially paralyzed, and now only his stepmother, Sammy, comes to Jimmy. The guy has a bad relationship with her. The woman asks not to interfere in anything, because the father is too worried about the turmoil associated with his son.
But by that time, Jimmy had already received an offer to go to a prison for desperate thugs. The FBI offers Jimmy a deal: freedom in exchange for getting a confession from Larry Hall, who killed about 20 women. Many in his hometown are sure that the guy is innocent. Larry is mentally ill and wants people to think about his involvement in crimes.
Jimmy is unaware of this, but agrees to the deal. And how can he get a confession when Larry really doesn’t even know how the crimes happened? Or is he so good at pretending? In any case, now Jimmy has no turning back…
