A sports match in which the protagonist and his team lose in the qualifying round and lose the chance to play for the Japan Cup seemed to indicate that we would see the hard work of a young football player trying to achieve his goal. But it was not there. Next, the audience is waiting for a thriller in the literal sense of the word. Getting into a strange project, Yoichi Isagi, in order to become the best, must change his worldview and forget about everything that the respected head coach told him…

“Blue Lock ss 2”: release date, announcement

Those who know at least something about football or are football players, after watching the episode 1, were a little disappointed with the storyline of the anime “Blue Lock”. The fact is that the series talks about only one position — about forwards. Is there no one else in the team besides the forwards? Despite this “offense”, it turned out to be a pleasure to watch the anime: excellent drawing, good pace and plot development… In general, the season 1 received a huge portion of positive reviews. And what about a sequel?

Despite the lack of official announcements about the season 2, many sites are talking about a high chance of new episodes of the “Blue Lock” anime. Plot

Yoichi Isagi dreamed of becoming a football star since childhood. Watching the success of adult players sitting at the TV screen, he did everything to get into the school team. Now he is in his senior year, he is a promising forward for the team, since both the coach and other players note in the guy the ability to see the entire field, analyze and quickly respond to the situation. But on that day, everything went according to a bad scenario.

After losing in the qualifying round and saying goodbye to the chance to qualify for the Japan Cup, life for Yoichi lost its meaning. But when he comes home, the guy receives a letter from the Japan Football Union. Arriving at the indicated place, he saw another 300 attackers under 18, the same as himself: with ambition and a desire to be the best. But none of the guys have any idea what lies ahead if they give their consent to take part in a strange but promising experiment…

• Jinpachi Ego — selected 300 young forwards for his opinion and invited them to his experimental project; Jinpachi is sure that the victory of the whole team is the presence of a strong striker; his goal is to choose one out of 300 applicants and turn him into the best player.

1. The main character’s name Isagi translates from Japanese as “undefiled, pure”. Yoichi in translation means: Yo — “world”, ichi — “one”. As a result, Yoichi Isagi literally translates as “the world’s purest”.
2. In June 2022, a spin-off manga titled “Blue Lock: Episode Nagi” was released, written and illustrated by Kōta Sannomiya. A spin-off dedicated to Seishirō Nagi, a member of Team V, is published in “Bessatsu Shōnen” by Kodansha.
3. The main director of the anime was Tetsuaki Watanabe, with Shunsuke Ishikawa as his assistant. This is Tetsuaki Watanabe’s 3rd project where he is the main director. He previously worked as an assistant director, episode/segment director, and storyboard artist. At the same time, he managed to participate in such high-rated series as “Kabukichou Sherlock“, “Lord El-Melloi II’s Case Files“, “Haikyuu!!“, “The Ancient Magus’ Bride” and others.
