The continuation of the detective TV series “Bosch: Legacy” has already been officially announced. The exact date of the premiere of the new episodes has not been announced, it is too early to talk about it, but there is information on the network that the Season 2 will be shown in the spring of 2023.

Plot

Young Maddie Bosch decided to follow in her father’s footsteps. And at a time when he decided to leave his post, Maddie finally entered the service. Working on patrol is not what she dreamed of, but everyone starts like this, and the girl does not want to be an exception. It is enough that everyone looks askance at her, calling her the daughter of the famous dad.

Her first partner, a middle-aged man, turns out to be envious and quickly refuses to work with Maddie. At the time of the chase, the two criminals ran in different directions. The girl chased one of them and caught up, and her partner, unable to catch up with the second fugitive, returned to her. In the report, he wrote that she left her partner alone and could not catch up with the second criminal. Deciding to ignore the difficulties, Maddie waits for her to go on another patrol.

Her new partner is Reyna Vasquez. At first she seems arrogant, but after a day of working with her, Maddie realizes that Reyna cares about her like a rookie. Having received a hefty bruise after an unsuccessful fight with drug addicts, Maddie begins to respect a more experienced partner. The next day, the girl decides to visit her father, who has already taken up a new business.

Without posting ads, without giving anyone the coordinates of his own office, Harry begins a private practice for detective work. He easily does the job, does not sit idle, and clients find him in all available ways — they throw notes in the places where he happens to be, contact him through acquaintances… Another note arouses his interest.

The customer is an influential elderly man. Having no children and no wife, he ponders to whom to give his inheritance and immediately warns Bosch that this may not please people who find out about their contract. All Harry knows is that in 1952 a Mexican woman got pregnant by a billionaire. The customer wants to find her child, since he has no other blood heirs.

Very quickly, Bosch manages to find out that 8 months after the last meeting with his client, the Mexican woman died. Whether the child is alive is unknown, but Harry understands that he also has his own motives that can help solve his long-standing unsolved cases. But the situation is getting more and more confusing, and Bosch’s position is getting more and more scrupulous…

• Honey — a lawyer with a good reputation; at the end of the TV series “Bosch” was shot down by her enemy, who later attacked Maddie as well; in the 1st season, she sued him, trying to prove his involvement and help herself regain her faith in justice; takes painkillers to help her cope with unbearable pain after a gunshot wound — Mimi Rogers.

Interesting Facts

1. The Season 1 trailer appeared in March 2022, and 2 months later, the pilot episode was released on Amazon Freevee. In the credits, the leading actor is also listed as a director, although this is not mentioned in official sources.
2. Since the house in which Harry lived for a long time in the story was asked to be demolished in real life due to frequent earthquakes, this line was also introduced into the plot in order to logically move Bosch’s apartments to a new location.
3. Since the start of the Harry Bosch TV series, actor Titus Welliver has appeared in several other projects. The best of them were “Live by Night”, where he played Tim Hickey; “Chicago P.D.” with a small role as Ronald Booth; “Escape Plan 2: Hades”, “Shaft” and the role of an imperial officer in the TV series “The Mandalorian“.
