Plot

Tsubasa Arihara is the brightest and most energetic school girl. Once, Tsubasa decided to open her own women’s baseball club, which she openly stated from the school scene. From this day it all begins.

The girls are so different that inside the team everything cannot be fine and clear. In addition to constant disagreements, each athlete has her own inner experiences, which are rooted in the past. But the sport with its daily workouts, achievements of common goals, unites the heroines in one team.

In addition to sporting achievements, girls should not forget about their studies, because nobody canceled lessons and exams. But what if the development of the club is extremely slow and in the wrong direction? Maybe, finally, the girls will have a professional mentor who will lead the team along?

The women’s baseball club will face new challenges and trials: recruits who need to find a common language, sports injuries, tantrums, the struggle for leadership and, of course, the relationship with the coach. Ahead – all the fun.

• Tsubasa Arihara – the most energetic of girls, she is the founder of the women’s baseball team, a very bright, friendly and optimistic girl.
• Ryo Shinonome – Tsubasa’s rival, at first she does not accept the command due to her inexperience and weakness; Ryo seeks to become a professional baseball player.
• Yuki Nozaki – is a member of the baseball team, among all the girls, Yuki is the most unsure of herself; the girl was fond of basketball in the past, but after an unsuccessful game blames herself for losing the team, after that she was worried for a long time and didn’t immediately go into baseball; the new team actively supports Yuki, which helps the girl to become a good player.
• Akane Ukita – an unusual member of the team, as she always puts on a hood and speaks from a third person; she is shy, not strong in baseball, but her daily workouts, effort and desire to play, honing her skills, lead to good results.
• Waka Suzuki – the girl at first seems unfriendly, but gradually merges into the team; Waka’s brother is a member of a successful university baseball team; Waka also has the makings of a great player – she is observant and capable.

1. Some fans of the anime “Cinderella Nine in August” saw the similarity of the characters with the characters of another picture – “High School Fleet”.
2. The anime was directed by Susumu Kudo, who worked on such projects as “Ghost in the Shell Arise”, “Dies Irae”, “Mardock Scramble”, etc.
3. According to the criticism, if this anime is an adaptation of a mobile game, then the main character should appear at the very beginning of the story. But in the series it is not. Many fans were outraged by such an injustice – the fact of the late appearance of the main character did not suit them at all. But that was the decision of the director.
4. Another criticism notes that in the anime there are few descriptions of the game itself. Most likely, this was what the director wanted – not to make an analogue of other famous projects (for example, the anime series “Princess Nine”).
