“Cursed ss 2”: release date, announcement
The sequel to the fantastic TV show “Cursed”, unfortunately, will not be seen by the audience. The project’s management was silent for a long time, but in July 2021, when everyone was waiting for the release of season 2, the TV show was officially closed. The reasons for this decision were not disclosed.
Plot
Nimue’s childhood was difficult. Humiliation, insults, throwing evil glances at her back and constant beatings have become commonplace for her. Although she could stand up for herself, there were too many ill-wishers. She could not use force against them – she had to endure and listen to what her mother said.
Nimue decided to leave the village, in which everyone considers her a curse. With a pure heart, she endured the ridicule of her fellow villagers and often beatings bordering on violence. Nobody cared what Nimue really was. “Cursed” – they said to her. It hurt her already tormented heart.
One day she went to another village where no one knows her. Nimue hoped that there she can build life from scratch and no one will laugh at her. Almost immediately, she met a man named Arthur, who could no longer take his eyes off her. Nimue also felt sympathy for him, but a strange thing happened…
The girl had a vision related to Arthur. He is exhausted, lies on the floor without clothes and no one comes to his aid. Deciding that this is some kind of sign, Nimue comes to her village. There she found dozens of corpses, a murdered mother. She soon realized that the Red Paladins, the witch hunters, were behind this.
Then Nimue joins forces with Arthur, who is looking for a certain Merlin. Arthur must give him an ancient sword, and during the travels Nimue reveals new sides of her cursed talent. Fortunately, Arthur doesn’t consider her a curse. On the contrary, he is fascinated by her skills and lovingly listens to her every word. Nimue is getting braver. As a result, she gathers a squad capable of repelling the Red Paladins, led by King Uther, who directs their actions…

- Nimue – a girl who has lost her mother; possesses certain abilities, mainly focused on the use of the elements, as well as other natural resources; travels with Arthur, whom she likes from the first meeting; wants revenge for the Red Paladins who killed her mother – Katherine Langford.
- Arthur – Nimue’s partner she met when he sang at the fair; then he turned his attention to an unusual girl; has an unenviable childhood and adolescence, like the main character; people made fun of him, as a result of which he received many moral trauma; dreams of finding Merlin and giving him a sword – Devon Terrell.
- Merlin – a court wizard, capable of witchcraft; the king often scolds him – in his opinion, Merlin’s predictions do not come true; always on his own mind and does not disclose his plans even to the immediate environment; Merlin is distrustful, tries to find cursed, and eventually comes face to face with her – Gustaf Skarsgаrd.

- Before filming season 1, rumors of Katherine Langford’s pregnancy surfaced on the Internet. The shooting would be in jeopardy, but… The actress literally made an official statement that pregnancy is just the fantasies of cheap journalists.
- Gustaf Skarsgard belongs to the Skarsgard family, where every man has chosen an acting career. The most famous of them is considered Bill Skarsgard, who played the killer clown Pennywise from the movie “It“, based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King.
- Many mystical incidents happened on the set of the season 1. Katherine Langford’s costume disappeared from the dressing room or well-shot scenes were faulty when viewing the image … Especially often the camera let down at the moments when Nimue showed her power cursed. Other actors joked that Katherine was indeed a witch.
- Devon Terrell was the last person the directors approved for the role. Until recently, there were arguments about the actor for the role of Arthur, because the audience is more accustomed to seeing a white-skinned man. In order not to anger the African American society, it was decided to take on the role of an actor with dark skin.
