Jo Evans has a hard job. She sits in the place of the police chief in a small town, where recently the number of amazing events has gone wild. After Jo accidentally found a little girl near the wreckage of a private jet, the lives of both dramatically change. But for the better?
When will the series “Emergence Season 2” be released?
There will be no sequel to the fantastic TV series “Emergence”. This became officially known in May 2020. The TV is overflowing with similar projects, but the fans did not lose hope until the last moment that season 2 would be released.
The project talks about the morality of the police and how to cross the law when it comes to ordinary humanity. Justice is not always on the side of those who live by the rules, but with a great desire, over time, everyone seeks justice.
Plot
It all started with an instant power outage throughout the city, after which the light turned on again. Frightened townspeople took to the street, where they saw a semblance of the northern lights. Jo immediately received a call, which was her next call to the scene. It was a crashed plane with a capacity of 10 people.
Where this plane came from and how it got into Evans’s area of responsibility is still to be known to the police. Jo herself, about to leave home already, sees a young girl who, out of fear, is afraid to even make a sound. Having talked the child, Evans becomes for him a real savior. Therefore, the girl has to be escorted to the hospital not by someone, but by the police chief.
Soon it becomes known that part of the paranormal phenomena is caused precisely by this girl. Jo takes her home, reassuring herself with the thought that over time, the memory will return to the child and her parents will be found. In fact, the girl is stubbornly silent and refuses to leave Jo. As luck would have it, her daughter Mia and her father were very friendly to the child.
It was decided to name the girl Piper, because she could not remember her real name. While the household was happy about the new tenant, Jo came across people who called themselves Piper’s parents. Not believing their word, Evans decided to check the information and turned out to be right – they just announced a hunt for the girl. But who is this and what do they want?
Deciding to hide Piper, Jo attracts the former spouse to the case. While everyone is concerned about the fate of the young beauty, she herself is trying to hide her own secrets from loved ones. Will they harm Jo’s family and is Piper destined to stay with them for long? What will such secrecy lead to? What is hidden behind the mask of a 10-year-old girl?

- Alex – Jo’s ex-husband; he has a good relationship with her and with their daughter, whom he takes for the weekend; decides to help Jo after he realizes that the life of his ex-wife and his own daughter is in danger; repeatedly sacrificed his own interests for the sake of the family – Donald Faison.
- Mia – the daughter of Jo and Alex, is a kind, sympathetic girl, studying in high school, immediately treated Piper with warmth and realized better than anyone that the girl would stay with them for a long time; Mia is trying to persuade her mother to leave the girl with them for a long time – Ashley Aufderheide.
- Piper – appeared after the plane crash at the scene of the accident and was awarded the attention of Jo; the girl is afraid to remember her past, but understands what she does not want to tell others; Piper removed a chip from her neck that contributed to strange phenomena – Alexa Swinton.
- Ed – Jo’s father, lives with her, Mia and Piper; after long service in the ranks of American firefighters, he developed a cancerous tumor, which he is currently trying to drown out with pills; Ed is a good housekeeper because he can fix all broken items – Clancy Brown.

- On September 24, 2019, the series was first presented to a wide audience. Over the course of a month, it became known that starring actor Allison Tolman was nominated for two prizes at once – Emmy and Golden Globe.
- Many viewers remember Donald Faison on the cult comedy series “Scrubs”, which lasted more than one season and made a splash on the audience. Donald had one of the key roles.
- It is known that agent of Alexa Swinton requested an increase in the fee, but at the time the filming began, there was no official information about the changes in the fees of the actors.
