It has officially become known that the premiere of the season 2 of the TV show “Fantasy Island” will take place on January 2, 2023.

Plot

Elena receives regular guests who have flown to her to solve their problems. One of them turns out to be the successful TV presenter Christine Collins. The woman was sent on vacation for scolding a new employee for bringing donuts while on set. A woman has been on diets since childhood and is forced to deny herself such sweets.

She came to the island with the goal of eating whatever she wanted. But Christine did not fully understand her problem. The culprit was a childhood trauma inflicted on her by her stepfather. The man did not want to see a chubby girl in his stepdaughter and forced her to follow a diet. Later, Christine lived with a constant feeling of hunger, but after another dinner on the island, she refused even to have breakfast.

Having left home happy, Christine did not even pay attention to other people. But among them were Ruby and Mel – an elderly couple. They decided to spend a few days in seclusion as the cancer was slowly killing Ruby. The old woman doesn’t have very long to live, but she is full of optimism. Deciding not to return from the trip, Ruby mentally said goodbye to her family and wanted to throw herself into the sea.

And Mel just wanted Ruby to stop getting sick on the island and feel young and full of strength for several days. By taking a dip under a waterfall, they both become younger. At the same time, the disease no longer causes inconvenience to Ruby. They enjoy every minute, and she meets a stranger-girl who has a strong attraction to Ruby.

Mel notices this and recalls how in their youth Ruby made a choice between her beloved and him. Then Ruby chose him. When the time of departure comes, Elena invites the old woman to stay and save her life in return. Ruby disagrees. Deciding that she deserves better, Mel asks his wife to stay and offers to tell the children that she died without surviving the return flight.

Ruby becomes Elena’s assistant. Hundreds of guests are waiting for them, dozens of ruined lives, but in return they give the island their fate. None of them will know how the fate of those who left the island developed. But there is a complete picture of those who will soon become their guest…

• Christine – a middle-aged woman a successful presenter who cannot accept extra pounds; obsessed with weight and work; needs recharging, so she goes to the island – Bellamy Young.
• Landon – Christine’s stepfather; instilled in the girl that she should starve; his ghost poisoned the girl’s life on the island until the grown-up Christine saw him roasted like a pig at the stake – Rick Holmes.

Interesting Facts

1. Few would believe that the lead actress Roselyn Sanchez was 47 years old at the time of filming. In 2012, the actress gave birth to her first child, after which she preferred not to appear in public for several years – then everyone believed that Roselyn’s appearance was spoiled. When the paparazzi photographed her with a child, they were surprised – she looked great.
2. In the 80s, the TV show of the same name was released, in which the island was led by Elena’s father. Even then, it was clear that the idea was doomed to success, but the crumpled narrative forced new craftsmen to reshoot the picture, making it better, or to come up with a sequel. The first season of the 2021 TV show “Fantasy Island” showed mediocre ratings, and all hope for the second one.
