Plot
Tokyo. Year 198 of the Solar Era. Spontaneous human combustion is increasingly common among people. Infernals of the 1st generation could not control the fire. After several generations, abilities developed. And now it is the time of the 3rd generation. People are able to take control of the flame and use it for their own purposes.
The protagonist of the anime, Shinra Kusakabe, is known for his ability to inflame his feet, which is why the guy immediately got the nickname Devil’s Footprints. With the advent of fire, his human abilities increase. So, Shinra can fly in the air, increasing the force of impact of the legs and the speed of its movement. But without stopping in time, such people can “overheat”: get burned, dehydrated, or even lose their fiery ability.

Special Fire Force Company 8 was staffed in deadlines, so it is inferior in terms of resources and people to other groups. After becoming the fireman of this brigade, Shinra fights daily for the lives of people who cannot control the fire. But doing a dangerous, routine, but important job, the guy is trying to figure out his past: 12 years ago his family died under strange circumstances.
Shinra Kusakabe along with the rest of the brigade continues to protect humanity from the infernal. In this case, the purpose of his work is not only to unravel the mystery of spontaneous human combustion. What happened to his family 12 years ago when he was a very young boy? Who is to blame for the nightmare imprinted in the memory of Shinra for the rest of his life?..
