The continuation of the space multi-part film “For All Mankind” will appear in November 2020. Nixon’s attempts to maintain power were unsuccessful, and now a new president will be on guard for the Americans.

p.s. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the filming process had to be suspended several times. In this regard, the season 2 premiere has been postponed to February 19, 2021.

Plot

For many years, Edward went to his dream, wanting to be one of those people who landed on the Moon first. He successfully managed the ship, but all tests were interrupted. The blame was the recent fire at NASA, because of which now all members of the group are reinsured. It was fear that prevented them from completing the trials and embarking on a space journey.

While the Americans coped with their timidity, the Russian astronauts accomplished the impossible – they landed on the Moon. Learning about this, the leader of the Deke Slayton group was stunned. He even allowed his children to spend time with a glass of alcohol, because it was clear that the day was ruined and not a single American cosmonaut could work today.

Going to drink, Edward, along with his comrades, talked about the landing of rivals. And at that moment a journalist appeared behind the bar, who the next day wrote a devastating article concerning Baldwin and NASA as a whole. Slayton is horrified, because such a good specialist as Edward, simply should not leave his post. He has to come up with a retreat plan.

The Americans decide to overtake the Russians in something else. For example, land on the Moon and call the president in a straight line. But Nixon did not like such an undertaking. Who wants to talk to the silver medalists, because the Russians have already received the gold medal for the landing. Trying to come up with something more original, Deck pushes bright speeches, motivating his comrades.

At this time, Karen Baldwin does not know what to do. Her husband’s honor is at stake, which he could easily lose by confessing to reporters that he had spoken to this journalist in a bar and, in fact, spoke of Russians with disdain. Edward himself is not inclined to lie. But what to do if not only his future, but also his family depends on it?..

• Edward Baldwin – the main character, works as an astronaut at NASA; he was extremely angry at the fact that the Russians landed on the Moon before the Americans, which, by chance, told a journalist in a bar; after this incident, Edward hardly retained his job and undermined the trust of his wife, who considered the disclosure of work information a crime – Joel Kinnaman.
• Karen Baldwin – wife of Edward, a wonderful mistress; she resents her husband for not being ready to share her feelings with her; brings up their son, tries to participate in the life of beloved men, and sometimes even manages to set her own conditions for Edward – Shantel VanSanten.
• Deke Slayton – project manager, chief of Edward; a tough boss, while putting the welfare of his subordinates in the first place; allows them to let off steam in a situation when it is necessary; tries to keep the team intact even when Edward told the reporter too much about the Russian landing on the Moon – Chris Bauer.

1. One of the directors of the series was Seth Gordon, who has experience in similar projects and specializes in dramatic moments. All motivational speeches that are in the series, he directed independently. His most popular works include paintings by “The Good Doctor“, “The Goldbergs”, “Horrible Bosses”, “Sneaky Pete”, etc.
2. Starring Joel Kinnaman usually prefers action movies. “Easy Money” (Snabba cash), “The Killing”, “Run All Night” – most of the paintings with his participation involve fighting scenes. Here he was supposed to show his acting talent, talking about the breadth of the soul of a Native American and his attitude to his homeland.
3. Teddy Blum became the smallest member of the series. He played the son of Edward and Karen. Blum was previously seen on the TV series “Big Little Lies“, “Life in Pieces” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”. Given the growth rate of his career, we can assume – soon we will see the guy in the title role.
