JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Season 6

Back in 1987, January 1st, the world met a hero named JoJo. That’s when the first manga “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” came out. More than 30 years have passed, but the interest in the plot of this work does not fade. Fans were lucky not only to see their favorite characters in the anime series, but also in the film, which premiered in 2007.

The season 1 of anime was released in 2 parts: in October 2012 and in December of the same year.
The season 2 – April 4, 2014.
The season 3 – January 9, 2015.
The season 4 – April 1, 2016.
The long-awaited premiere of the season 5 took place on October 5, 2018.

It is known that the new anime season will be called “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean”. And it will be released in 3 parts:
Part 1 will be released on December 1, 2021 (12 episodes)
Part 2 – on September 1, 2022 (12 episodes)
Part 3 – on December 1, 2022 (14 episodes).

Plot

The Joestar family is not as simple as it may seem at first glance. Each member of the family, whose name begins with “Joe”, possesses a star-shaped birthmark from birth. This “label” means that its owner is destined to a great destiny. Each Joestarhas child unprecedented physical abilities, and also owns such methods as manipulation, extrasensory perception, healing and more.

The story begins with the acquaintance of the young Jonathan Joestar with his “brother” Dio Brando, who dreams of world domination. In this case, Dio is ready to destroy anyone who dares to stand in his way. Having by nature powerful physical data and abilities, Jonathan, together with his allies, bravely accepts the challenge and embarks on the warpath. JoJo’s adventures begin…

Season by season, every member of the Joestar family faces new opponents. But thanks to the natural abilities of the guys, it’s not so easy to destroy or worship them. Each of them – a real fighter, aimed at protecting humanity. Mysterious worlds, the interweaving of fates, the manifestation of supernormal abilities and endless wars – seasons over and over absorb the viewer with their most interesting stories that do not allow the manga creator to stop and complete his story…

Anime main characters

The separate season of the series is a story around one character. A feature of all the main characters is that their names begin with “Jo Jo”:

• Jonathan Joestar – the guy has superhuman powers, incredible strength of mind, as well as the ability to self-heal and manipulate sound, light, etc .; Jonathan is a worthy heir to the Jostar family, he was distinguished from other children by his stamina since childhood; as an adult, he could easily cope with several enemies at once.
• Joseph Joestar – a guy with a huge number of abilities: subtle intuition, manipulation of light and energy, healing, etc .; Joseph has great weapons, making it easy to win in battle.
• Johnny Joestar – the main character has incredible physical abilities, he rides a horse perfectly, Johnny has the ability to rotate objects (as well as the body of the enemy) with great speed, teleport, etc .; Johnny is clever and cunning, his vast experience in endless wars allows him to fight an opponent of any strength.

Interesting Facts

1. The release of the full-length film about the adventures of JoJo was timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the manga-creator Hirohiko Araki’s career. In addition to this gift, in the hometown of Hirohirco, in Sendai, the Lawson store was opened, which fully corresponded to the fictional store of the famous manga.
2. The full-length film was shot in Spain, the province of Barcelona – Sitges, despite the fact that the plot of the main action takes place in Japan.
3. When creating the anime series, the directors immediately decided that the plot would be as close as possible to the manga, starting with dialogues and ending with minor details. The exception was the scenes of violence that filled the manga – they had to be “softened”. There were also reworked scenes with Nazi symbols and greetings – their presence in the series was not acceptable.
4. The director of all seasons of the anime series was Naokatsu Tsuda, and the scriptwriter was Yasuko Kobayashi.
5. In 2012, “Bizarre Adventure JoJo” manga was recognized as the longest manga in the world. And in 2018, the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine secured the manga to the honorable 3rd place among the most popular works in history.
