Plot

Television adaptation-anime was announced in January 2017. The premiere of the first screening season is scheduled for October 2017. The adaptation director will be Ishiguro Kyohei known for Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, the talented Yokote Mitiko will work on the script, and Hiroaki Ttsusumu will take part in the musical accompaniment. The anime itself will be shot at J.C.Staff studio, which gave us an anime Shakugan no Shana.

Chakuro is not just a guy of fourteen, he’s an archivist in Dirty Whale, an almost utopian island that drifts over the surface of an endless ocean of sand. Nine out of ten residents of Dirty China are given the ability to use special powers that have become a curse, because they doom them to death in the prime of life.

Chakuro and his friends periodically come across other islands, but they never met, saw or heard people who were just like them. And then one day Chakuro falls on the island, as big as Dirty Kit, and there meets a girl who will radically change his fate.
