Sequel to the psychological drama “Let the Right One In” has not been officially announced. Based on unofficial sources, it became known that the season 2 is possible, since the ratings of the first one showed the viewer’s interest in the project. Thus, if the filming of new episodes begins in the near future, their premiere may take place in the fall of 2023.

Plot

After the death of his wife, Mark took his daughter away from his native New York and has since constantly changed his place of residence. The girl had to be hidden from the sun, as it could kill her. But the main danger to Eleanor was people like her. The police hunted the criminal, thinking that he was a mentally ill person. The bodies of the victims were mutilated beyond recognition.

This happened all over the planet. Wherever Mark could not go, similar horrors took place everywhere. Dreaming of someday finding a cure for vampirism, he decided to come to his hometown, but New York did not meet him friendly. Snow fell on the streets, and from old acquaintances he had only Zeke, with whom he had been friends even before his marriage to Liz.

Mark rented a modest apartment in a high-rise building, and his neighbors were a fragile black woman Naomi and her 12-year-old son Isaiah. The boy experienced huge problems at school, as classmates joked about him and considered him crazy. Isaiah loved magic tricks, and this annoyed the rest of the guys. Mother could not help in any way, because the work took her too much time.

Naomi worked in the police and was engaged in the search for a criminal who brutally mocked his victims. At least that’s what she thought. While Mark was looking for a job, and Naomi was doing her duty, Isaiah and Eleanor managed to make friends. Mark did not like this idea, because sometimes the daughter could not control her appetite. He was afraid that the girl would break loose and would regret it all her life.

But along with education, it was necessary to solve the problem of earnings. He went to Zeke’s restaurant, where he asked the friend to give him any job. Agreeing reluctantly, Zeke threatened Mark that he would tell the police everything if he was in any way involved in the murders taking place on the street. Being an excellent cook, Mark quickly got used to the new place.

But what to do with Eleanor, who has been locked up for 10 years and waiting for another sunset to go outside? The girl reaches out to Isaiah, a friendship develops between them, but all this can turn out worse than it seems…

• Isaiah — a 12-year-old friendly boy; for unreasonable reasons, classmates do not like him, but Eleanor finds in him the best human traits and helps him to reveal himself as a person — Ian Foreman.
