“Motherland: Fort Salem ss 3”: release date, announcement

Since June 2021, fans have been waiting for news about the continuation of the TV show “Motherland: Fort Salem”, and there has been no information that could shed light on the foggy future of season 3. Finally, the producers broke the silence and announced the filming of new episodes in November 2021. The premiere of the season 3 is scheduled for early summer 2022!

Plot

It has been 300 years since American troops stopped witch-hunts. A peace treaty was concluded between humans and sorceresses, which forced witches to fight magical problems. Not so long ago, massacres began to occur, which belonged to a kind of such problem. This coincided with a new army conscription, which included the three main characters of the TV show.

One of them was Raelle. As a child, her mother taught her how to extract diseases from civilians, and the girl always tried to help people in this. Later, her mother was drafted into the army. A year ago, while carrying out an assignment from her commander, a woman died. Unable to resist the blow of fate, Raelle decides to follow in her mother’s footsteps. And immediately makes unforgivable mistakes.

The second was Tally. All her aunts died in the war and her mother fought furiously to prevent the girl from following in their footsteps. Unfortunately, Tally has already made a decision. Despite the malice of humanity, which spreads to people like her, the girl considered it her duty to protect the innocent. It was not in vain that a gift awoke in her that others do not have.

From her youth, the arrogant and impulsive Abigail was preparing to join the ranks of the brave ladies who defend the country. Her mother had spent many years fighting, but most of the witches disliked her, including Raelle. It was Abigail’s mother who commanded the squad on the day Raelle’s mother died. Both girls know this, and at the beginning of the training they have a fight on this basis.

Later, when teachers notice a perfect fusion between the girls, they find common ground, because they have to fight together. But before long, Raelle’s thoughtless nature, Abigail’s ambition and Tally’s reluctance to make decisions have a lot of negative consequences. The girls are embarking on a new path, and there is no place for past grievances – it is important to save the present…

• Raelle Collar – a girl from a poor family; the last year she lived with her father, who at parting gave her an amulet that once belonged to his grandmother, then to his mother and passed into the hands of Raelle; falls in love with a girl immediately upon arrival at a military base; hates Abigail and hides it for a long time; breaks all the rules for a sweetheart who doesn’t appreciate it – Taylor Hickson.
• Abigail Bellweather – dark-skinned witch, full of determination; long dreamed of fighting in an elite squad; is proud of the group’s achievements, because they were able to achieve the perfect merger, although in life they are not friends at all; has grudges against her mother and does not believe that she should be responsible for her misdeeds to Raelle – Ashley Nicole Williams.
• Tally Craven – pretty, harmless, touchy girl; brought up in a female community and had never seen a man before joining the service; upon learning about Abigail’s desire to leave the group, she was upset; on bad terms with her mother because of her desire to go to serve – Jessica Sutton.
• Sarah Alder – leader of Fort Salem; obsessed with work; excellent manipulator; easily misleads the wards on the right path, uses them for their own purposes; impudent, devoid of most human emotions, but eventually shows her true self – Lyne Renée.

1. Thanks to the chic musical accompaniment, an album was released in March 2020, which contained all the soundtracks written by Brandon Roberts. He writes music for each season, while successfully combining work on the TV series “Motherland: Fort Salem” with other projects.
2. In April 2021, Jessica Sutton officially announced that she was infected with the coronavirus. Therefore, the girl was not at the gala events dedicated to the imminent release of the season 2 of the TV show. She was only spotted in June at a public appearance, when Season 2 had already begun airing.
3. According to some sources, for her role as the evil general, Lyne Renée had to gain 12 kilograms. So Lyne looks more impressive in the male role, while the makeup artists did not have to carry out any special manipulations with her appearance – a few rough touches and General Alder causes fear in the audience.
4. Taylor Hickson is known for having an accident while working on a project. While filming a scene for the movie “Ghostland”, the actress had to break glass. Despite the fact that Taylor did not want to do this, fearing for her health, the director and producers of the project persuaded the girl. In their opinion, everything should have passed safely. However, shards injured Taylor’s face so much that she got 70 stitches. The scandal and the invitation to the court arrived immediately.
