A sequel to the “Nine Perfect Strangers” miniseries based on the novel of the same name is not planned. We shouldn’t wait for new episodes.

Plot

The main characters are people desperate to solve problems on their own. To help themselves live on, they decide to go to a boarding house, where Masha will help them find peace of mind. On the way, Frances loses her last strength, as her new book is not a success, and even groundlessly accused of feminism.

The upbeat Napoleon Marconi arrives with his wife and daughter. And if at first glance it seems that the problem lies in an eternally dissatisfied wife, then it soon becomes clear: the reason for their arrival lies in a completely different person.

Lars is the most mysterious newcomer. He tries not to follow the rules of the boarding house, but quickly realizes that this is impossible. Calling an unknown man on a wristwatch, he did not notice when Zoe, Napoleon’s daughter, saw him. The girl was not going to tell everyone about this incident, she just wanted to talk.

• Ben — a black man who came to rest with his wife; often thinks about business; practical; tries to change, remembering himself from the past; loves his wife and is jealous of her for absolutely everyone; drives around in an expensive sports car that delights the rest of the guests — Melvin Gregg.
• Napoleon — the average family man whose marriage is going through a bad time; he himself says that if he is not stopped in time, he can say a lot of unnecessary things — Michael Shannon.
• Frances — a successful writer in decline in popularity; cannot get rid of obsessions; from the day of her arrival dislikes Tony; it was hard to part with the phone, after which she cautiously went to a meeting with Masha — Melissa McCarthy.

Interesting Facts

1. The participation of Nicole Kidman did not bring the producers the expected success, since the TV show on the aggregator sites was at best rated 6-7 points out of a possible 10. Some critics call the actress’s play unconvincing, while others are sure that poorly edited episodes were the culprit.
