The filming process started in November 2020 and is scheduled to be completed in September 2021. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, work has been suspended several times. Plot

Martin worked for many years on insurance with his friend, who often spoke to Byrde about his boring nature. A friend repeatedly suggested Martin leave to rest, but all this was no use. One fine day, Martin finds out about his wife’s relationship with their family lawyer. Video recording with “this” moment is the most reliable evidence of treason.

While Martin was deciding what to do with the information he received, his business partner laundered large sums of money. When the moment of reckoning came, Byrde had to become almost an accomplice in the crime. Once near several corpses, including a friend, on his knees and with a gun near his forehead, Martin decides to offer his punisher a deal.

It turns out that Martin’s friend owed several million to the Mexican drug cartel, but he didn’t think about repaying it. Seeing how he is being killed, Martin offers to launder the amount that a friend stole, but in a certain place called Ozark. Unlike a large metropolis, such deals can be easily done there, because the police are not working at full capacity.

They put Martin on a condition – to find $ 8 million and go with his family to Ozark to start money laundering. Martin decides to take money from the general account and talks about this to his wife. Then Wendy plans to withdraw this money through a lawyer and leave her husband. But everything is not so simple – the bosses of the drug cartel find her and the lawyer. As a result, they dump the lawyer from the window of a high-rise building.

On such a sad note, Wendy is left without a lover, Martin without an opponent and with a traitor’s wife. But they are alive and sent with the children to Ozark. Frightened to death, but with the only thought of surviving at all costs.

Martin has been solving one problem after another for several seasons, but all of them are invariably associated with the drug cartel and trafficking in illegal substances. But is his problem only in money? After all, with such a family, he can go crazy morally! What is Wendy worth, who crawls with her advice every time an opportunity presents itself! But our hero is not a coward, although such heroes sometimes fail too…

• Wendy – wife of Martin; tired of boring and monotonous life, then she cheated on her husband with a family lawyer; the bosses of the drug cartel captured her at that moment when she was trying to appropriate the money of his family, which Martin had to give to pay off his acquired debts – Laura Linney.

1. On July 21, 2017, a pilot episode of the series appeared, which shocked most viewers. Cold-blooded murders, a strange attitude towards treason and an anti-cult of the family created an atmosphere of gloomy spectacle. But subsequently the plot is so addictive that it is already impossible to come off.
2. The creator of the series is Jason Bateman, the lead actor. In 2018 and 2019, he was nominated for the Golden Globe Award, but both times the figurine went to other actors. Bateman is not upset – he has something to please fans in the next season, which means that the next prize may be in his hands.
3. Laura Linney is 5 years older than Jason Bateman, which was initially an obstacle to her participation in the role of Martin’s wife.
