Plot

In the central part of Australia, seismic activity continues, after which new breaches appear. The Kaiju invasion around the world says only one thing: humanity is in great danger. To protect against intruders, huntsmen were created, huge monster robots controlled by professional pilots. Despite the efforts, the victory remains with Kaiju. Residents of Australia have been asked to evacuate to coastal cities within 5 days. Is this really the end?

Taylor’s and Hayley’s parents control a huge robot. They see that the situation is getting sadder every day. After another battle with Kaiju, the pilots go to the children, who were left, as it seemed to them, in a safe place. In front of the children who were waiting for their parents on the bus, the battle between Jaeger and Kaiju began. Jaeger wins.

It has been 5 years since the parents, who carried the bus with people to a safe place, returned to the battlefield. Hayley grew up to be a very brave girl, so she is not afraid to secretly run outside the camp from her brother. In one of these sorties, she falls into the ground, falling straight into the training Jaeger. Taylor, who found his sister in a huge robot, had to keep her company. Now their journey is to learn how to drive Jaeger and travel to Sydney, where they hope they can find their beloved parents…

• Boy – a mysterious, taciturn boy who has the ability to communicate with Kaiju; despite his human appearance, he turned out to be Kaiju; it is being used to destroy the rest of humanity.
• Mei – 19-year-old female survivor, helps Hayley and Taylor; learned the truth about Shane and now all her thoughts are only about revenge.
• Shane – took Mei away from her parents when she was very young; changed her memories, suggesting that he was her savior.

1. The first season of the anime is based on two parts of the film “Pacific Rim”: released in 2013 from director Guillermo del Toro and a sequel titled “Pacific Rim: Uprising”, shown to the viewer in 2018, from director Steven S. DeKnight.
2. According to aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, the series had an approval rating of around 73% and ended up scoring 7.3 on a 10-point scale. This indicates a good interest of the viewer, which should certainly please the creators of the anime.
3. The series was produced by the Japanese studio Polygon Pictures, best known for its anime projects in 3D graphics. Natives of this studio are: “Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence”, “Star Wars“, “Transformers”, 3 parts of the animated film “Godzilla”, etc.
