After losing this battle the guy realizes that he is fed up with the horrors of the war and decides to return home. All the long way he thought about how quietly and peacefully he would live with his beloved in the village, what craft he would take and what future he had prepared for him. Alas, on his return, Poladdark understands that almost all his dreams will not come true.

The boy’s father passed away, and the house was occupied by drunks. Deprived of a house, he strives for his beloved, but here the hero awaits trouble. Thinking that Ross was dead, the girl marries his cousin.
Broken, but not desperate, the main character finds the strength to start all over again. First of all, he regains his home, along with saving the young girl Demelzu. The next step is the restoration of the abandoned copper mines. Once the mining of copper was handled by his father and now Ross, is going to return production to the rails and give the villagers the opportunity to earn.
Copper mining is not going according to plan. First of all, because of its small number, the boy’s father was sure that this place has a real vein, but so far this conjecture has not been confirmed. The sticks are put in the wheel of the main hero by the cousin, who is suing for the right to own an ore business. Finally, the lack of funds leads to the death of miners and the material position of the guy becomes shaky.

The solution to the problem comes from the past. Even during the service, Poldark was smuggling. This quick method of enrichment threatened him not only with success but also with the death penalty. Restoring the old connections, the guy quickly gets involved in the work, but his reputation in the village threatens to end.
Problems from all fronts make the hero take hard decisions, but he throws everything and goes back to the battlefield. New fights undermine the moral shape and spiritual state of the hero, but life in the meantime is improving. The mine starts to make a profit, and the former lover is widowed and not averse to returning to Ross.
In the third season, Ross has to fight simultaneously on several fronts. On the one hand, he can not leave the field of battle with the French, but at home there are no less serious battles played out. Demelza gives birth to a baby and is forced to fear for his health, since her lover has already made many enemies. After returning home, the protagonist faces angry peasants who suffer from hunger and decide to take their part of the copper business by force.
The new season continues to increase the pace of the series, constantly pushing the characters with non-trivial problems. This is the whole charm of the series about ancient times. Here people were disturbed by completely different problems, and their solution sometimes seems insane. Poldark is a series for all connoisseurs of the genre historical drama. The visual part, the selection of actors and the story are fresh and do not seem to be drawn by the ears. At times, there is not enough action, but this is England of the 18th century.
