“Ratched ss 2”: release date, announcement

The fact that the viewer will see the season 2 of the TV drama show “Ratched” was known from the beginning, even before the premiere of the season 1. Since Netflix ordered 2 seasons at once. However, as of November 2022, no new episodes are known to be in production. If filming for season 2 begins in early 2023, then it will premiere no earlier than autumn 2023. Plot

Mildred Ratched arrives in a small town and checks into a hotel. A charming man becomes her neighbor, with whom they develop mutual sympathy. But Mildred has too many worries to reward a man with due attention. She came here to carry out a very important matter concerning her family.

Instead of exciting romance with a neighbor, Mildred is trying with all her might to get a job in a medical hospital for psychos. She manages to break through all the obstacles. By blackmailing the nurse to give up her place, Ratched assumes a new position for her. And on the very first day, it causes a chain of consequences leading to the death of the patient.

The head of the hospital, Dr. Richard Hanover, becomes an accomplice in the crime by sheer coincidence, cleverly set up by the new nurse. In his office, a patient committed suicide. But so that no one knew about it, Hanover entrusted his life in the hands of Ratched, who skillfully convinced the Doctor of her importance.

In fact, Mildred has big plans for this place. Soon one of the most problematic patients arrives here – Edmund Tolson, led by a huge number of guards. Ratched is interested in a man more than anything else, because she is here only for him. No one at the hospital knows that Mildred and Edmund are related.

In order to save her brother from execution, Ratched is ready to resort to the most terrible methods. She is fluent in the art of blackmail, without a share of embarrassment, she uses her official position, mixing illegal drugs for her wards. And only especially diligent employees of the hospital are able to stop her atrocities.

How will the story of the cold-blooded killer end? And what is behind the mask of mercy? Mildred is diligently trying to protect her brother, but how will this affect her later life?

1. Vincent D’Onofrio perfectly copes with his task of completely reincarnating as a character. While filming for the TV series “Daredevil“, he could spend hours walking around the set, looking at the props and portraying equanimity. Then the role of a grim killer demanded it. On the stage of the show “Ratched” he walked briskly with the air of a minister.
2. Sarah Paulson kept up with her colleague. She had to learn many of the mechanical movements that helped nurses deal with violent patients faster. This made her play more realistic. It took 2 hours a day for Mildred’s hair and one hour for flawless makeup. And that’s not counting the fact that the rest of the actors also constantly passed through the professional hands of the make-up artist.
3. During the filming of the episode where Mildred asks her neighbor to imagine that they are a married couple who had a fight over the absence of children, a bed fell under the actors. It turned out that the boards under the floor were already rotten. They had to re-shoot the episode.
