Plot

1. The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Shō Harusono. The manga was first published in September 2016 on the ComicPixiv website. Volume 9 will be published in July 2022. After the manga became popular among readers, 2 volumes of the novel were published: in October 2018 and in March 2020. Also based on the manga, a spin-off called “Hirano to Kagiura” was created, the first volume of which was released in June 2019.
2. The director of the series was Shinji Ishihira, whose works include “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy”, “Talentless Nana“, “The Seven Heavenly Virtues”, “Log Horizon”, “Fairy Tail”, etc. Shinji’s directorial career began with the anime “Ichi the Killer: Episode 0”.
