“Servant ss 4”: release date, announcement
Viewers have not received all the answers to the questions, so they are looking forward to continuing! To the delight of the fans, in December 2021, the project management officially announced that they were waiting for the season 4, but, unfortunately, already the final one. The production process of the new episodes will take place in 2022, so the season premiere will most likely take place in early 2023. We follow the news.

Plot
As a governess, Dorothy chose an unremarkable 18-year-old girl named Leanne. After the first interview, in which the mother spoke of her son Jericho as alive, Leanne stayed in their house. Sean immediately noticed a lot of oddities in the girl, but since there were no obvious reasons for refusing, he did not object.
Sean warned Leanne that he did not care how the girl behaves with the doll in the absence of his wife, but she was surprised by the coldness of the employer, continuing to play with the doll, feed, sing lullabies. The only person Sean could discuss this absurd situation with was Julian, his wife’s brother. The guy often visited his sister and was aware of their personal tragedy.
Julian was good with the servant, but with regard to the child, he took Sean’s side. One day, Sean heard a baby crying on the babysitter’s radio. Imagine his surprise when there was a real baby in the bed! Trying to find out from the girl where this baby came from, he got no explanation. Leanne wondered why Sean wouldn’t accept his own child.
Dorothy, who came home, was also not at all surprised by the appearance of a screaming baby. She only gave him a breast that had been sore for weeks, because mastitis was forming. Thinking he’s crazy, Sean calls Julian and asks him to come urgently. Only this can save a negligent father from thinking that it was not his wife who went crazy.
Julian confirms that the child was previously a doll. In an attempt to find out where Leanne took the baby, he begins his own investigation. But this does not give any significant results. The life of those around is changing — it becomes unclear how the miraculous “revival” happened…
At the end of the season 1, viewers will find out how Jericho died — a very tired Dorothy forgot the child in the heat, in the car. Sean, who was then participating in a cooking show, could not help in any way. After the death of their son, he wanted to leave his wife, but since she did not recover mentally, Sean decided to live with her for a while. And now he is forced to solve a whole mystical puzzle…
Actors and their roles
- Sean — a culinary genius; surprised at the replacement of the doll with a living child; tries to reason with his wife, each time attacking the servant; he finds sawdust in his food, at first he associates this with the dilapidation of the house, but then he realizes that in some mystical way a young nanny is involved in this — Toby Kebbell.
- Dorothy — has psychological problems; from fatigue, she forgot the child in her own car, which led to the death of the baby; believes in the fairy tale that Jericho is still alive; is friends with Leanne and does not understand Sean — Lauren Ambrose.
- Leanne — hired in the house of heartbroken parents; treated the doll for real and eventually began to care for a real baby; it soon became clear that she has a grave that stands in the cemetery, but she does not tell anyone about her past — Nell Tiger Free.
- Julian — helps Sean find out the whole truth about a young girl, but fails after discovering her grave; tries not to disturb his sister — Rupert Grint.
Interesting Facts
- The most successful commercially was the season 1 of the TV series. The ratings later dropped slightly, but that didn’t stop creator M. Night Shyamalan (“Glass”, “The Sixth Sense”) from pursuing a sequel. Many viewers joined the viewing of the picture precisely because of his merits in cinema. M. Night Shyamalan is the owner of two Oscars.
- For Rupert Grint, this is one of the biggest works since “Harry Potter”, in which the actor played Ron Weasley. In the release of “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” on HBO, he said that he focused on the family, the child, and recently Grint even “acquired” kidney stones, although the actor is still quite young. We wish Rupert a speedy recovery.
- The first season premiered on November 28, 2019 on Apple TV. It took one year to develop it.
