Star Trek: Picard Season 3

Jean-Luc Picard had his own reasons for leaving the fleet and he did not want to talk about it with outsiders. Many years ago, his friend was overtaken by an untimely death, although he managed to complete the painting, giving it the name “Daughter”. 20 years have passed, and now, on the threshold of the house of the aged Jean-Luc, a young girl appears, whose facial features clearly remind him of the art of his friend. It’s time to get out of his comfort zone and learn about what’s going on around him.

The amazing beauties of the fictional world were able to impress the fastidious public. New episodes of “Star Trek: Picard” will appear in 2023 — the official statement appeared even before the release of season 2. The exact release date is still unknown.

Plot

When Picard was young and full of energy, he worked in Starfleet and befriended a local android. All machines were programmed so that they could not put themselves under attack for the sake of a person, but this android was completely different. Having drawn that same painting, he soon said goodbye to life. Defending Jean-Luc, he threw himself under attack and was killed.

This incident became so memorable for Picard that he carried it with him for many years. After 20 years, his life has changed a lot. Jean-Luc tried to hide from prying eyes in a quiet place. But one day a girl named Dahj came to him — it was her that the android once depicted on canvas.

Not so long ago, the girl had fun with her lover, but he was attacked by masked people and brutally killed. The enraged Dahj was so shocked that she did not understand how she could destroy everything around, and at the same time destroy her enemies. All she understood was the vision. In it, she knew who Jean-Luc was and decided to turn to him for advice.

Seeing her, he was discouraged and immediately recognized. But the girl did not know that she had accidentally brought cruel killers with her. She managed to protect Jean-Luc, but the mercenaries were more agile: Dahj was killed, and only her medallion was left in Picard’s hands. The main character has a small but important clue.

With a medallion, he goes to a scientific institute, where they did not prepare a warm welcome for him. Agnes Jurati, an employee of the institute, refuses to answer questions about androids, their unauthorized attack on an alien planet, and Jean-Luc has no choice — he shows her the medallion. Agnes realizes that she is trapped and reluctantly reveals everything Picard is interested in.

Now the main character knows that there is another Dahj that needs help. In the meantime, Picard wants to understand the government’s conspiracy and have a hand in correcting other people’s mistakes. But age makes itself felt — the old man will not frighten enemies alone. So he needs to get allies!..

Actors and roles

• Jean-Luc Picard — former Starfleet officer; Disillusioned with his actions 20 years ago and left the service; hard experienced the death of a friend; wants to help Dahj find a man, because the girl is the only thread that connects him with his murdered comrade — Patrick Stewart.
• Dahj — one of the twins; accidentally activated a program in her brain that could protect her from attack; from her visions she knew Jean-Luc; for some unknown reason, she could understand where he was, even if he wanted to be invisible to everyone — Isa Briones.
• Agnes Jurati — negatively disposed towards the old man Jean-Luc, but when she realizes how valuable information he can provide her, she decides to share important information herself; uses her connections to find a second girl — Alison Pill.

Interesting Facts

1. The TV series was commissioned by CBS All Access and executive produced by Alex Kurtzman. Since 2017, he has been involved in the creation of the TV project “Star Trek: Discovery“, and in 2013 Kurtzman produced the film “Star Trek: Nemesis” — both projects are an offshoot of “Picard”. Recall that Kurtzman’s career began with the TV series “Xena: Warrior Princess” and “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys”.
2. Patrick Stewart has made numerous appearances as Picard on other projects related to the Star Trek universe. His hero participated in films with subtitles “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, “Star Trek: First Contact”, “Star trek: Insurrection”, “Star Trek: Generations”, “Star trek: Nemesis”. Stewart is also known as Professor Charles Xavier from the X-Men films.
3. For the first 2 seasons, Isa Briones had to play three characters: Dahj, Sutra and Soji Asha.
4. The special guests of the film were Brent Spiner, Altan Inigo, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Whoopi Goldberg, John de Lancie. They appear in the Star Trek universe in almost every movie.
5. Filming for season 3 will take place in an open area, and in order to avoid the invasion of fans, the filmmakers are keeping the chosen location a secret. A week before the filming process, the actors found out where the location is, but they are forbidden to talk about this to the public as strictly as they are to give out the secrets of the future script.
