Plot
Kim single-handedly brings up a daughter who is constantly demanding attention. The woman worked for several years as a teacher for the benefit of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, while her friend Bill Dobson destroyed the reputation of this educational institution. Another high-profile scandal was the beginning of a broken career for Bill. After leaving the post of head of the department, he had to come to terms with the fact that Kim would take his place.
At the same time, Dobson’s beloved and only daughter left the city to study at another college, and before her departure he promised to take up his mind. But to promise is not to fulfill. Bill is still in trouble and does not want to listen to those who ask him to give up alcohol and hooliganism. His lessons are so popular that they are filmed, but they have no knowledge.
Having received a new position, Kim clashes with the interests of the boss, who orders the dismissal of some of the teachers. But the woman is totally against it. Yes, they are old, a little peculiar, but Kim is really sure that they are great masters of their craft. During her own studies, she remembers how crowds of students came to their lectures, while not everyone could find a place in the audience.
Unfortunately, few people care about this, even though Kim is trying to do everything just to protect her beloved English department. And at this time, Bill again takes up his own. Thinking alternately about those to be fired and her bored daughter at home, Kim must do something about Dobson. She decides to talk to a troubled colleague and convince him to behave himself. He reluctantly agrees.
