Plot

In early childhood, he was called Pity. In those years, blacks worked in the cotton fields and were accustomed to the scorching sun. As a boy, he collected so much cotton that the adult residents of the village could envy him. One day he witnessed a terrible fire that engulfed the home of his parents. Then someone close to him died.

In his old age, images of familiar people often appeared to him, but all of them had long since passed away. Only Reggie remained nearby, tenderly treating his sick relative. The guy accompanied Ptolemy everywhere, helped him with shopping, cleaning, leaving the house, even went to the bank so that his grandfather could receive his benefits.

One day, instead of Reggie, another guy appears on the doorstep of the house, who is also one of the members of the family of Ptolemy. Not recognizing the boy, the old man tries to defend himself, but the stranger decides to inspire confidence. Having persuaded the old man to go to the bank, the guy takes part of the finances received for himself. Understanding nothing, Ptolemy later realizes that he was deceived.

He wants to see his nephew and the guy takes him to the house of relatives. It took a long time for this grandfather to understand that he was at the wake. Reggie was recently killed, but Ptolemy doesn’t remember it. A young girl named Robyn is forced to take the heartbroken grandfather home. She is not happy about this prospect, as it is not cool for a teenager.

On the same day, Robyn realizes how hard it is for Ptolemy to endure the loss. He forgets every now and then, imagining that Reggie will drop by to see him tomorrow. Feeling sorry for the pensioner, the girl wants to help him in the last important matter – to find and punish Reggie’s killer. But how to do it without basic skills?

At the last appointment with the doctor, it becomes clear that Ptolemy’s disease is progressing. Dementia does not allow him to remember everything that happened in recent years. Ptolemy increasingly sees his beloved, who has long been dead. The doctor offers an innovative remedy that Pity will definitely decide on, because the honor of his murdered nephew is at stake…
