Plot

Pam is a sincere lover of total control. She is a woman with a manic obsession, which Betsy felt on herself during one of her first chemotherapy treatments. Since Betsy was diagnosed with cancer, her life has changed a lot, and now her health is monitored not only by herself, but also by her best friend. Relations with her husband Russ have recently improved, but they have so far lived separately.

On another day after chemotherapy, Betsy was at her mother’s house and spent time carefree playing board games. The arrival of Pam forced them to change their plans. Trying not to offend her friend, Betsy agreed to go with her to her home. A little conversation along the way, and ordinary phrases to cheer up a woman — nothing unusual haunted them that ill-fated evening.

Referring to the fact that her recently moved husband will arrive soon, Betsy wanted to send her friend home. Well, then… Uncertainty. All that the viewer knows from the first episode is the accusations that fell on Russ because he behaved too emotionally when he found the body of his wife and called 911. But he could not behave differently.

The next morning, the police arrived at Pam Hupp’s house to take a statement from her. She clearly told them her version of events, and also gave false information regarding the personal life of the murdered woman and her relationship with her husband. Then the cops told her that Betsy was found lifeless near the sofa, moreover, the number of injuries on her is in the tens.

Soon the will of the deceased was revealed, in which Pam acted as the main beneficiary. But from whatever side the detectives tried to get close to Hupp, there were continuous alibis everywhere — tapes of conversations, videos of her being in another place, and so on.
