“Undone ss 3”: release date, announcement

The continuation of the amazing animated drama “Undone” has not been officially announced, although the creators have grandiose plans for its future. After receiving 100% approval on Rotten Tomatoes for season 1, the crew immediately set to work on the second one, released in 2022 — only the coronavirus forced the release date to be postponed to a later date. Plot

Deciding to drink less, Alma meets her sister Becca at a bar. She has received an engagement proposal and now it is impossible for Alma to fulfill the promise to ban alcohol. Upon arrival home, Alma talks to her boyfriend about the importance of marriage and realizes that she is not ready to become a loving mother, wife and immerse herself in everyday life. Soon the relationship between them goes wrong, and he leaves.

Looking through old photographs with her mother, Alma finds a photo of her father, who died 10 years ago. He is pictured smoking, which worries the girl. Starting to rummage through the data on his death, Alma finds a lot of interesting things. By this point, there is a new meeting with Becca in a bar. They get drunk and drive home, while the sister and the bartender, whom the girls took with them, spend the night together. In the morning, Becca accuses Alma of ruining everything.

Hurt, Alma gets into the car and has difficulty driving as she is frustrated by Becky’s reaction. On the way, she sees the ghost of her father, who is standing on the side of the road. He looks at his daughter in surprise. Losing her guard, Alma has an accident and wakes up in a hospital bed.

Thus begins the most interesting, disturbing and surprising chapter of her life. Now she sees her father and has the opportunity to avoid his death. But is it really so? Or maybe Alma had an imagination, like her grandmother?

The end of the season 1 did not reveal the mystery, but only left the place for warming up interest, because in the last episode, Becca convinces Alma, who arrived in Mexico, to leave the ancient ruins, where she is waiting for her father to appear. The season 2 tells about her emerging psychological trauma. Alma has to live in a world that she does not remember everything about — earlier the girl lost her memory. How long this will last is unknown, but the clinical signs that coincide with her grandmother’s illness are on the rise…

• Sam — Alma’s favorite boyfriend; a merry fellow who supports all her bad ideas, including the mustache drawn by Alma before going to an important evening; the couple lived together for some time, but, afraid of hurting Sam in the future due to hereditary schizophrenia, Alma asked him to leave now — Siddharth Dhananjay.
• Jacob — the deceased father of Alma and Becca, who Alma sees everywhere; together with his daughter trying to find a way to return to life — Bob Odenkirk.

1. Bob Odenkirk became famous when he was over 40. His successful work was the TV projects “The Kominsky Method”, “Nebraska”, “Nobody”, “Little Women”, “The Disaster Artist”, “Giant Mechanical Man”, as well as The TV series “Breaking Bad”, where he first appeared as lawyer Saul and “Better Call Saul”, where he continued filming as a lawyer, but has already become the main character of the story.

Hisko Hulsing was the only director of the project for 2 seasons, moreover, the picture became his long-awaited debut in this position. “Undone” is currently Hulsing’s only successful work, as he previously worked on projects with a narrow audience and acted as a composer, producer, director. 3. The animated TV series “Undone” was first created using a technique called “rotoscoping”, where the actors are first filmed and then the animator outlines the film footage, turning the footage into animation.
