After the events of the movie “Avengers: Endgame”, each of the members of the group formed their own story. While the Avengers solve their problems, Wanda and Vision live their lives in a comedy show. They do not remember how they met, got married, where they came from and what they did before. Trying to find answers to questions, they begin to realize that they are locked in this show…

“WandaVision ss 2”: release date, announcement

A sequel to the fantasy TV series “WandaVision” was not originally planned as it was supposed to be a limited completed TV project. Despite the fact that rumors about a theoretically possible season 2 constantly appeared on the network, as of January 2022, there is still no confirmed information about the filming of new episodes or plans for it.

Plot

Black and white screen and… the small town of Westview, where everyone knows each other. Vision suddenly appears along with Wanda, who has already become his wife, and at the same time does not remember when. Both have the feeling that they have been here for a long time. They know that they live in their own house, the woman cooks, and Vision goes to work, where he makes the craziest calculations, which no one is yet capable of.

Both pretend they don’t have superpowers so as not to scare people. But when something out of the ordinary happens, people seem to ignore them. So, in the 1st episode of the 1st season, Vision stuck his hand through his boss in order to pull a piece of unsuccessfully swallowed food from his throat. The man almost died, so he had to act in front of his wife, who seemed to see nothing.

Then Wanda was the first to notice that she began to see objects not in gray, but in red. Not wanting to share such news with neighbors, the woman decided to keep it a secret. Then there was a strange message on the radio, where an unknown person called Wanda. Realizing that something strange is happening that does not lend itself to her understanding, Wanda is waiting for her husband, who has gone to the meeting.

Vision tried his best not to show people that he was different. He materialized his red appearance into a human one, tried not to use unlimited knowledge and in every possible way tried to correspond to society. He did well, but due to nervous tension, sometimes he gave himself away, zealously trying to convince the public that he, like everyone else, consists of organic matter.

For a long time, Wanda and Vision did not know that someone was watching them. But when the situation began to spiral out of control, the main characters began to wonder how they got here and what preceded it. A series of unsuccessful attempts followed, which never made it possible to find out what was hidden on the other side of the screen. Will they be able to reveal the one who keeps them in a non-existent reality?..

Actors and their roles

• Wanda Maximoff – can teleport objects; many people know her as Scarlet Witch; a few years ago, her twin brother died, with whom she previously wanted to take revenge on Tony Stark for the death of their parents; loves Vision and has been building a relationship with him for a long time – Elizabeth Olsen.
• Vision – a synthetic robot capable of feeling everything that is not alien to the human brain; never eats; in reality he has a red body, but for people he has to disguise himself; lives with Wanda and tries to understand what is happening in the world they don’t remember anything about – Paul Bettany.
• Agnes – Wanda’s annoying neighbor and friend, often introduces her to people from the town; dreams of living a beautiful, luxurious life, but instead constantly walks near other people’s houses; often jokes about her husband – Kathryn Hahn.
• Dottie – local popularity; famous for her love of leadership; humiliates women who are in the same company with her; hates Wanda; Dottie decides which of the children will go to the best school; knows all about local entertainment and participates in all kinds of committees – Emma Caulfield Ford.

Interesting Facts

1. Elizabeth Olsen was very surprised when she received an offer to play Scarlet Witch, but this time in the format of a TV series. Most of all, Olsen was struck by the script, so unlike everything that her heroine experienced in the films about the avengers.
2. Paul Bettany has long been friends with the executive producer of the film, Matt Shakman, so he was one of the first to be invited to the show. Matt is known for such TV projects as “Billions“, “The Boys“, “Game of Thrones“, “House, M.D.”, “Fargo“. The longer Shakman has been producing projects, the more successful they become, bringing in huge sums of money to film companies.
3. The producers of the show “WandaVision” Kevin Feige, Jac Schaeffer, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos and Louis D’Esposito previously worked on films of the MARVEL Cinematic Universe, and now participate in the creation of all TV series released from 2007 to the present. They try not to change the lineup, as people working on previous shows are more experienced in looking at upcoming projects.
